Wednesday 3rd January - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league at Sixways this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches across the four divisions, the only exception being a cancellation from Wednesday Social who return to action on Wednesday 10th January.  We were pleased to see everyone back in attendance for 2024 after the Christmas break!

In the Premier League, Worcester Saints dominated the field with an impressive 17-2 victory over Enter Team Name FC, while Lucozade Sports claimed a 2-0 win over Dales Sixes. Ooo Aah Slavia edged out CottageMixedGrill FC in a tight match, triumphing 5-4.

The Division 1 matches were equally exciting, with Leavemyarsealona narrowly securing a 1-0 victory over Paris Ganja Man. Gangsters Allardyce overpowered Nag Shuts FC 4-1, while Nunnery Wood Veterans tied 3-3 with Expecting Toulouse. UP THE ALMA and Claines FC also ended in a draw, unable to break the 1-1 deadlock.

In Division 2, Tolly Bashers marked a 3-2 victory over Bley You Off The Park. Sporting Bad Haircuts had a strong 4-1 win against Perdiswell Lynx, while Tupsley FCC defeated Murder On ZIdanes Floor 2-0. Monner United also claimed a 2-0 victory, this time over Unathlectico Madrid.

Finally, in Division 3, Bench Warmers FC triumphed 3-1 over Misfits FC. Boca Seniors delivered a crushing 6-1 defeat to Severn Wasters, while Ice Ice Babies froze out The Cherry Charvas 8-1. In a close game, STUDS ON STUDS emerged victorious over Gotta Die For 3 Pints with a 1-0 win.

We wish all teams good luck going into the final round of fixtures for this season with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football, ahead of the new campaign which kicks off on Wednesday 17th January.
