Wednesday 3rd May - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches across all four divisions, barring Wednesday Social (Premier Division) and Nunnery Wood Veterans (Division One) unfortunately had to cancel their games this week but will be back to play as usual next week.

Let's get straight into the Premier Division matches. In the first game, we saw FATLETICO MADRID go up against BRAP FC. It was a hard-fought match, but BRAP FC managed to edge past their opponents with a scoreline of 1-0, leaving FATLETICO MADRID feeling rather fatigued.

Next up, EXPECTING TOULOUSE and NEW INN FC went head to head in a thrilling match that ended in a 3-3 draw. It was a nail-biting finish, with both teams showing impressive attacking prowess, but neither managing to secure the win.

In the final Premier Division match, DALES SIXES faced off against SMALL POND FC. It was a tight game, but DALES SIXES managed to sneak a 1-0 victory, leaving SMALL POND FC feeling a little out of their depth.

Moving on to the Division One matches, ENTER TEAM NAME FC and UP THE ALMA battled it out in a match that ended in a 3-3 draw. It was a high-scoring game, with both teams showing a lot of heart and determination.

Next up, LUCOZADE SPORTS took on CLAINES FC in a fiercely contested match. Despite a valiant effort from LUCOZADE SPORTS, it was CLAINES FC who came out on top with a 3-2 victory, leaving LUCOZADE SPORTS feeling a little deflated.

In the Division One match of the night, GOTTA DIE FOR 3 PINTS faced off against CATS ON BIKES, who were making their league debut. Despite a spirited performance from 3 PINTS, it was the new boys who ran out comfortable 6-2 winners as they look to be a useful addition to the league, leaving their opponents chasing their tails!

In Division Two, NAG SHUTS FC had a convincing 4-0 win over BIFTA LIFTA UNITED, while BLEY YOU OFF THE PARK lost 5-3 to SPORTING ABEERGUT. TUPSLEY FCC managed to score an impressive nine goals against MANCHESTHAIR UNKNOTTED, who failed to get on the scoresheet. Finally, COTTAGEMIXEDGRILL FC defeated SPORTING BAD with a 4-2 scoreline.

In the Division Three matches, WARNDON FC were defeated 4-1 by RYBROOK FC, while MOISTCABBAGE lost 3-0 to ARROWXL FC. BANDITOS FC found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-0 thrashing by MURDER ON ZIDANES FLOOR. Finally, BARBZ BRUMMIE FC and FRED WEST HAM played out an entertaining 6-6 draw, with both teams feeling like they could have done better.

We thank all of our teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league, which ensures the league runs on time and smoothly each week.
