In the exciting world of local football, week 2 of the Bury St Edmunds Monday League brought high energy and competitive spirit on the pitch. The league, made up of several divisions, saw some incredible performances.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Klose But No Cigar made a strong statement with a 4-0 victory against Eze Come Eze Go. Will Brown, the top scorer of the division, contributed significantly to the team's victory with his 2 goals. In another close match of the division, Bulldogs OGs edged out Unathletico Kennett with a 3-2 final score. Leavemearsealona FC also secured a solid win, scoring 6 goals against False 9 Inches.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Hello You Kante walked away with a narrow victory against James Mays Marching Powder, finishing the game with a 6-5 scoreline. For The Badge delivered a dominant performance against Kms Scaffolding, securing a 4-0 win. Cameron Clarke from For the Badge earned the title of the top scorer in Division 1, netting 2 goals. Meanwhile, Batty Ballers FC and Backdoor Bandits battled it out, ending in a 1-1 draw.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw some high-scoring games. Inter Mivan put up an impressive scoreline, beating Moreton Men Rovers 15-1. Moreton Men Wanderers also produced a striking display against Fake Madrid with an 11-1 victory. In the match between Queens Park Raisins and Deluded FC, the latter emerged victorious with a 6-4 win. A stand-out performance came from NATHAN of Inter Mivan who scored a whopping 5 goals, making him the top scorer of the Division 2.
As the league continues, enthusiasm remains high among the teams. With many more weeks of football ahead, the excitement is far from over.
