In the first week of the Bury St Edmunds Monday 6-a-side football league, hard-fought matches were played across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

Premier League 
Starting with the Premier League, Johan Quef kicked off the season with a decisive 6-2 win against James Mays Marching Powder. Meanwhile, Klose But No Cigar didn't just blow smoke as they beat NotinyourmumsForest with a 10-3 scoreline, setting an intimidating pace as the season gets underway.

Division 1

Division 1 also saw its share of action. The Moreton Men Rovers were bested by For The Badge, who claimed a 4-1 victory. The real highlight of the division, however, came from Leavemearsealona FC, who set the pitch ablaze with a 12-4 win against Hello You Kante, demonstrating they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

Division 2
On the Division 2 front, Backdoor Bandits managed to overcome Queens Park Raisins with a commendable 8-2 win. Inter Mivan also started the season on a high note, beating Moreton Men Wanderers with a 7-3 win.

As the season has just commenced, the aforementioned teams have set an electrifying pace for others to follow. The top scorers in each division are yet to be confirmed, but with the level of competition witnessed in the opening week, we are sure to see some extraordinary talent emerge as the season progresses.
