In the seventh week of the Bury St Edmunds Monday Football League, fans were treated to a spectacle of high octane action featuring some truly spectacular performances across all three divisions: Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2.
Premier league
The Premier League saw a close encounter between False 9 Inches and Eze Come Eze Go, with the former edging out in a tight 6-5 win, showcasing the grit and determination of both teams. Unathletico Kennett displayed a dominant performance beating Leavemearsealona FC 7-2. However, the showstopper was the commanding victory by Klose But No Cigar over Bulldogs OGs, who triumphed 7-1, raising the bar for competition in upcoming weeks.
Division 1
In the Division 1 match of the week, James Mays Marching Powder showed their class against Backdoor Bandits, registering an impressive 8-0 victory. The Powder showcased their offensive prowess, leading the division as the top scorers.
Division 2
Division 2 witnessed the highest scoring game of the week with Queens Park Raisins demonstrating their offensive might with a remarkable 15-0 win against Moreton Men Wanderers. Deluded FC demonstrated their skill with a convincing 9-3 win over Moreton Men Rovers, while Inter Mivan fell to Fake Madrid 2-6, cementing Madrid's position as the division's top scorers.
As we move into the eighth week, the pressure is mounting, and the competition is heating up, promising a stellar spectacle for all teams.
