6 A SIDE KICKS OFF 2023 IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

Our Bury St Edmunds 6 a side leagues welcomed in the new year with round 7 of games in the Tuesday night campaign this week. We had a few teams away but most braved the wild weather conditions and put in a good shift for their side. We Love A Bag and No Name matched up for an entertaining game that ended 3 - 3, a score that kept The Bags in 2nd spot in the prem table while No Name remain 5th on 7 points. There were points wins for Rafa Cakes, All Mates Here and leaders The Royal Family who have opened up a 3 point gap at the top.

Division One table toppers Athletic Bilbarrow enjoyed a strong 9 - 0 win over Muns Boyz, Max Harrison leading the way with a hattrick. 2nd placed Leavemyarcelona remain within a point of top spot but were pushed all the way by 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, eventually coming away 3 - 2 winners. New side Riddlers made an impressive start to their Leisure Leagues journey, registering a 10 - 4 win over Mums Hot Sociedad and Paris Ganja Man lead the pack chasing the top two as their 5 - 2 win moves them to 8 points and 3rd place.

Division Two still has one space to to fill meaning there was a points win for Real Madribble to kick off the year and with Boosh away this week MH Rovers claimed a 5 - 0 win to keep them 2nd. Quaresma stay top with a good 4 - 2 win over ECS while Ethan's hattrick gave Touch Matip a 5 - 3 win against USAUK.

If you have a team looking to get involved we are here and ready to welcome you into this league, there are 2 prem spaces if you have a competitive group of players or if you are looking for a more casual starting point we have the place in division two available. All of these have an immediate start available and also have free entry so there is no better time to jump in and get going with a bit of 6 a side football for the new year.

Big thanks to all our teams who played this week in difficult conditions and of course to our officials, hopefully it will be a bit drier next Tuesday when we get stuck into week 8 of the season.
