DIVISION TWO - AMIGOS FC
The Bury St Edmunds Tuesday Football League came to a riveting conclusion last night, marking the end of an exceptional 10-week season. Each division - Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 - put on an unforgettable spectacle for the final week of the season, with victors emerging in nail-biting matches. The Prem and Div 2 were settled on goal difference while there was just a point in it in Div 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Athletic Bilbarrow clashed with 3leslie, securing an impressive 10-4 victory. However, the highlight of the night belonged to Leavemyarcelona who went goal crazy against Barely Athletico with a remarkable 27-1 victory, crowning them as the Premier League champions with a total of 17 points and 8 wins, they knew they needed goals and they certainly got them with Charlie Graham netting an impressive 12 of the 27. It was tough on ECS who won a thrilling game with Herois Do Mar 7-6.
DIVISION ONE
The Division 1 games were equally thrilling. Earth Wind and Maguire beat Sheffield Tuesday 8-2 while Mums Hot Sociedad and Quaresma Balls battled to a 5-5 draw which meant went to Balls by one point. They walked away as Division 1 champions with 17 points and 8 wins.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, Touch Matip stole the show, edging out 2 Girls 1 Schlupp 3-2 which meant Schlupp had blown their title hopes but were still promoted. Dunk N Donuts and Kloppy Seconds engaged in a tight contest, with the latter emerging winners 5-3. The top honour was clinched by Amigos FC after their 10-1 win over Real Madribble, ending the season as champions with 15 points and 7 wins.
The final week of the season showcased the perfect blend of skill, passion and sportsmanship displayed by all teams. We congratulate Leavemyarcelona, Quaresma Balls, and Amigos FC on their victories, and look forward to another exciting season of the Bury St Edmunds Tuesday Football League.
