The highly anticipated final week of the Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6-a-side Football league didn't disappoint, as teams from the Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2 put on quite a show.
Premier League
In the Premier League, Jewventus beat Moreton Men United with a score of 4-1, while Quaresma Balls narrowly lost to Haven't Got A Kalou, 2-3. The highlight of the night was certainly Mums Hot Sociedad versus Molewall, with the latter taking the victory in a goal frenzy match, ending 9-5. Haven't Got A Kalou clinched the Premier League title with a total of 26 points and 12 wins.
Division 1
Over in Division 1, a stellar performance from Tommy Wright, who netted four goals for Dickins Cider FC, led his team to a resounding 7-2 victory over Molester City. This result secured them the Division 1 title, also with 26 points and 12 wins. The thrilling match between Heath Team and Cougar Choppers ended in a 7-7 draw, whereas Athletic Bilbarrow had a comfortable win over Jean with a score of 7-0.
Division 2
In Division 2, Expected Toulouse delivered a masterclass performance, trouncing Moreton Men City 16-4. Barely Athletico won against Chicken Tikka Mo Salah 4-1. Charlie Patterson emerged as top scorer with two goals, helping Goal Diggers overcome Hungry Hippos 6-2. Dunk N Donuts edged out Roughamready 2-1, with Josh Harris, who was named the most valued player of the week, leading the way. However, it was Roughamready who had the last laugh, winning the Division 2 title with 22 points and 10 wins.
As we wrap up another exciting season, fans and players alike eagerly anticipate the next season to kick off. Until then, champions Haven't Got A Kalou, Dickins Cider FC, and Roughamready can celebrate their well-deserved victories.
