The first week of the new season for the Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6 a side Football League concluded last night with some exciting and impressive performances. The league, which hosts three separate divisions: Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, has already unleashed some incredible talent and competition among the teams.
Premier League
In the Premier League division, Moreton Men United emerged victorious against Bean FC, with a significant contribution from the division's top scorer, Andrew Wiggins, who netted four goals. However, the highest-scoring match of the night saw Bury Bowl FC defeat Mums Hot Sociedad with an impressive 9-3 scoreline.
Division 1
Division 1 was not short of excitement either. Athletic Bilbarrow, with their star player Sam Harrison, who was awarded the title of the most valued player of the week, dominated Lads On Toure, with a 6-3 victory. Notably, Sam Emerson of Athletic Bilbarrow outshone his competitors by being the top scorer with two goals in this division.
Division 2
In Division 2, the competition was fierce with Moreton Men City taking an emphatic 8-2 victory over Chicken Tikka Mo Salah. Aidan Stibbs of Moreton Men City stole the show with a total of four goals, emerging as the top scorer of the division.
