In an exhilarating ninth week of the Bury St Edmunds Tuesday Football League, the competition on the pitch was fierce and the spectators were treated to some enthralling football action across all three divisions - the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Molewall and Dickins Cider FC battled it out to a 2-2 draw in a closely contested match. However, the game of the week undoubtedly was Mums Hot Sociedad's 4-0 win over Molester City. Quaresma Balls also edged out The Cleaners 2 - 1, and Brass Bandits had a remarkable 6-2 victory over Rise And Grind. The top scorer in the Premier League was Louie Coe, who netted three goals for Brass Bandits.
DIVISION ONE
Moving to Division 1, the Heath Team fell to a powerful Athletic Bilbarrow side, with the game ending 5-2 in favour of Bilbarrow. Dunk N Donuts displayed a dominant performance, beating Moreton Men United 6-1, with Cale Howard of Dunk N Donuts netting two goals to become the top scorer in this division. Jewventus enjoyed a 3-1 win over Young Boys while Cougar Choppers defeated Roughamready 4-2.
DIVISON TWO
In Division 2, Goal Diggers outmanoeuvred Barely Athletico 3-1, while Hungry Hippos squeaked past Expected Toulouse in a high-scoring thriller, ending 5-4. The match between Two Girls One Klopp and Chicken Tikka Mo Salah ended in a 2-2 draw while Goal Diggers produced a solid display to beat Barely Athletico 3-1. The top scorer in this division was Tyler Lombardo, who scored two goals for Moreton Men City.
The most valued player for the week was Max Harrison from Athletic Bilbarrow. Harrison's impeccable performance on the field was instrumental in his team's victory, earning him this accolade. The teams will be back on the pitch next week, aiming to climb up the tables.
