Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6 a side news new Season Kicks off!

The Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6-a-side Football league kicked off with a bang this week, as teams across Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2 went head to head on the field.

Premier League
In the Premier League division, The Cleaners and Cougar Choppers played to a 2-2 draw, leaving both teams with a point to start the season. Joshua Dowds from The Cleaners was the standout performer and took the title of top scorer for the Premier League with a total of 1 goal. Jewventus had a powerful start to the season, crushing Only Shoot Blanks with a dominating 12-0 scoreline. Molewall also secured a comfortable victory against Molester City with a final scoreline of 5-1.

Division 1
Over in Division 1, the competition was equally fierce. The match between Roughamready and Dunk N Donuts ended in a 1-1 draw, while Expected Toulouse triumphed over Rise And Grind with a decisive 5-3 victory. Mums Hot Sociedad also made their mark by defeating FC Young Boys 5-2. The top scorer for Division 1 was Hayden from Expected Toulouse who found the back of the net twice.

Division 2
The excitement continued in Division 2 with a thrilling 5-5 draw match between Silva Surfers and Barely Athletico. Chicken Tikka Mo Salah, showcasing a stellar performance, vanquished Moreton Men United with an impressive 7-0 win. In another high-scoring game, Goal Diggers outperformed Moreton Men City with a 10-5 victory. James Whitchurch from Goal Diggers emerged as the top scorer for Division 2 with a total of 3 goals.

The most valued player for the opening week was Charlie Garrod from Chicken Tikka Mo Salah, a recognition of his remarkable performance on the pitch.
