The Bury St Edmunds Tuesday League marked its 11th week with a series of adrenaline-pumping match-ups across divisions, which saw some stand-out performances and thrilling finishes.
Premier League
In the Premier League division, a nail-biting encounter between Mums Hot Sociedad and The Cleaners ended with a 5-4 victory for Mums Hot Sociedad. Quaresma Balls showcased their dominance with a 9-3 win over Moreton Men United, while Bury Bowl FC narrowly lost 2-3 to Haven't Got A Kalou. The star player in this division was undoubtedly Declan Walsh of Quaresma Balls, who netted an impressive five goals.
Division 1
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Cougar Choppers demolished Lads On Toure with a 9-1 win, with Olly Stacey of Cougar Choppers being named the Most Valued Player of the week. Stacey's performance was nothing short of phenomenal, leading his team to a lopsided victory. Elsewhere, Dickins Cider FC beat Athletic Bilbarrow with a 17-0 win, with Charlie Wright contributing a stunning nine goals. Heath Team suffered a 0-3 loss against Molester City.
Division 2
Over in Division 2, the competition was just as fierce. Hungry Hippos fell short against Roughamready with a 1-2 defeat, and Dunk N Donuts ended in a 1-1 draw with Barely Athletico. In a surprising upset, Expected Toulouse dominated Chicken Tikka Mo Salah with an 8-1 triumph. Moreton Men City succumbed to Goal Diggers with a 4-7 loss, despite a four-goal performance by Aidan Stibbs.
As the teams regroup and strategies are redrawn, spectators eagerly await the next week’s games. With the league in full swing, the coming weeks promise more action-packed clashes and remarkable individual performances.
