Leaders pull clear at Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6 a side

Great to finally be back at The Skyliner Sports Centre for match day 9 of our Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6 a side league after what has felt like a mini lockdown. Of course we have all been off supporting England over the past couple of weeks and let's hope for another win tonight!

Multiple Scoregasms are racing away with the Premier League title race as they continue to dominate the division. Last night they won 5-1 against Obi Wan Kenobi Nil to move 5 points clear. A hat-trick from Jake and a couple from Conner did the damage for the reigning champs. Skillet Bang lost a bit of ground on the leaders as they suffered a 4-1 loss to Six Of Spades. David scoring a hat-trick for Spades along with a goal from Harry. Joe in reply for Skillet. A1 Trees couldn't make it at short notice this week so Rafa Cakes had a points match win with No Name also getting the points due to the space in the league.

Athletic Bilbarrow might of made it 9 wins from 9 but they only just got over the line in this one as they beat MH Rovers 3-2. Max Harrison scoring twice while Sam Emerson also found the target. MH Rovers had George and Ollie Fisk to thank for their goals. Greengos moved into the second promotion spot as they defeated Old'em Pathetic 4-1 with goals from Chris 3 and Brandon. They are still a distant 7 points adrift of Bilbarrow though. In the other league match My Little Bony also won 4-1, their victory coming against Havana Balls Up. Lewis Chubb scoring twice with Scott and Alfie the other goalscorers. Sheffield Tuesday were awarded a point match win due to OP Barbers being unable to attend at late notice but thank you for getting your match fee paid on time.

Thank you to all our teams and also to our match night supervisor Tony with refs Chris and Lee. See you all next week for match day 10. Now Come On England!!!
