Christmas results from Bury St Edmunds 6 a side

Thank you to all the teams down at our Tuesday night 6 a side Bury St Edmunds league at the Skyliner Sports Centre. It's been a tough year for everyone, don't think there is anyone who hasn't found this year difficult. It's been hard to keep leagues running but we've done our best, exercise is so important to keep people fit and healthy on top of boosting mental health. Onwards and upwards in 2021.

We start our results round up in the Premier League where the leaders Multiple Scoregasms won again with a 7-2 victory over Six Of Spades which keeps them 6 points clear with just four matches to play. Cockfield Sixes look favourites for the runners up spot as Max netted 4 times as they defeated Athletic Bilbarrow 5-2. In the other result Victoria 6ixes edged a win over Suffolk Is Ours 2-1. Both Murder On Zidanes Floor and Bury United Sixes faced each other but neither was able to raise a team so it will go in as 0-0.

The title race is back on in Div 1 as the leaders Skillet Bang went down to a 1-0 loss to second place Rafa Cakes. This meant Cakes are now just a point behind so all to play for in the new year. Both are odds on for promotion with a big gap between them and third place Thurston who saw an inspired performance from Harry who hit a hat-trick in their 6-2 win over Greengos. PJ Davis was also on target 3 times as Havana Balls Up got the better of Vikings 4-0 while there was a narrow 2-1 win for Sheffield Tuesday over My Little Bony, Patrick Fisher Butler banging a brace for Tuesday.
