The Alfreton Monday 6-a-side Football League kicked off its new season last night, with heart-pounding matches across four divisions: Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. In a vibrant display of skill and talent, teams across the divisions battled it out on the pitch in a bid for early supremacy.

In the Premier League, Youngest In Charge FC claimed a promising start by defeating Bad Badgers FC 4-2, while The Steampacket edged their rivals Swanwick Delves 3-2 in a closely contested match. A6 Milan and Crystal Bar Palace concluded their game with a 1-1 draw, while FC Barca registered an impressive 6-3 win over Association Athletic.

Division 1 saw Bilkhu Originals thrashing Red Lion Regulars with a 9-1 victory. WarneHub Premium showed a strong performance with a 5-0 win against Green Team Blues. Borussia Teeth conquered Baby Lola UTD 4-1, and FC Twente Pints secured a narrow victory 5-4 against Beating Chastards.

In Division 2, Full Kit Bankers FC held a slender victory over Belper Nailers with a 4-3 score. Real SoSobad defeated Normo Fc 2-0, as Boca Seniors registered a thumping win of 6-1 against Rack Em Yellaz. Codnor FC edged Net Six And Chill in a tight contest with a 1-0 score.

Division 3 saw AFC Carling and Grundys Guards settle for a 2-2 draw. Madiline Milan defeated Cunning Stunts FC 4-1. Sheep Thrills Fc emerged victorious over FC Ofton with a 3-1 score, and Tibby Lads narrowly defeated Barely Athletic 5-4.

As the season has only just begun, it's too early to predict the top competitors in each division, but the teams' initial performances have set the bar high. The top scorers for the week were Bilkhu Originals in Division 1, Boca Seniors in Division 2, and FC Barca from the Premier League. Keep an eye out, as these players are expected to shine throughout the season.
