Thursday 27th April - Worcester Round-Up

Welcome to the match round-up of Worcester Thursday 6 a side league, which took place at St John's Sports Centre on 27th April. Despite AYEW MY DAD FC having a last-minute issue to attend to, all other teams turned up as scheduled and put on an impressive show of football.

Let's kick off with BJH MOTORS, who managed to bag a 2-1 victory against W.A.S. BJH MOTORS, aptly named after the owner's initials, had a strong performance with some excellent play-making that secured them a close win. On the other hand, W.A.S. despite putting up a good fight, couldn't quite get their act together in front of the goal.

The second match of the night saw WR2 GALACTICOS against TINY TODGERS, and it turned out to be a thrilling encounter. WR2 GALACTICOS, named after the postcode area they represent, found themselves 4-2 up at one point, but TINY TODGERS had other plans, and they staged a dramatic comeback to secure a 7-4 victory. TINY TODGERS' team name, although humorous, didn't stop them from showcasing some incredible skills on the pitch.

Finally, we have DGFC who managed to secure an 8-3 victory against 2 LEFT FEET. DGFC, also known as Droitwich Galaxy FC, were on top form from the get-go with some excellent attacking play and strong defending. On the other hand, 2 LEFT FEET, as their name suggests, seemed to struggle with their coordination on the night, leading to their downfall.
