Thursday 4th January - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Thursday 5 a side league this week as we returned to action for 2024.  Unfortunately Warnock's Wanderers had to cancel late on, but they return to action on Thursday 11th January.

In the Premier League Division, the match between WR2 GALACTICOS and BJH MOTORS ended with a decisive victory for the former, concluding with a scoreline of 9 - 5. The Galacticos demonstrated extraordinary teamwork, seizing every opportunity that came their way to seal their dominance in the opening week.

The encounter between Tiny Todgers and Purge FC saw Purge FC put on a stellar performance, registering a 7 - 1 victory. Their display of tactical prowess and superb coordination left spectators in awe, setting a high benchmark for the other teams in the division.

The most one-sided match of the evening, however, was between Top Boys and DirtyRecordsArmy. Top Boys trounced their competitors with a staggering scoreline of 11 - 1, a testament to their offensive strength and defensive solidity.

In terms of individual performances, Sameer Ali of Top Boys emerged as the leading scorer for the week in the Premier League Division, netting an impressive total of 8 goals. His performance was instrumental in Top Boys' resounding victory, making him a player to watch this season.
