**Southampton Monday 7-a-Side League: Division 1 Sees Solent University Impress in High-Scoring Encounter**
The second week of the Southampton Monday 7-a-side Football League Division 1 brought plenty of drama, dazzling goals, and a shake-up at the top end of the table. Teams battled it out under the lights, with several sides making strong statements about their title ambitions.
Solent University were the standout performers of the night, posting a commanding 9-2 victory over Afro Ballers FC. The university side showed incredible attacking prowess, with hat-trick hero Daniel Smith leading the scoring charts after netting five on the night. His clinical finishing and movement proved too much for the Afro Ballers defence, cementing his place as Division 1’s top scorer after two rounds.
Elsewhere, Wicked Wanders maintained their winning form with a disciplined 3-0 win against Sporty Uncs FC. Their organised play at the back and swift counter-attacks made the difference, while Matthew Harris added two more to his tally, keeping him in the mix for the golden boot.
Gregorys U16 bounced back from last week's disappointment in style, dispatching Big Johns BOSH FC with a convincing 6-1 scoreline. Young striker Alex Turner bagged a brace, showcasing the growing talent within the side.
No Point Turning Up lived up to their name for once, grinding out a 1-0 victory over Spring Pubescents in a tense affair decided by a single goal from Josh Davies. Meanwhile, Fellas FC produced an attacking masterclass, running out 5-1 winners against Mangop Fc, with Tom Evans helping himself to a pair of well-taken goals.
With two weeks played, Solent University and Wicked Wanders look to be early front-runners, while Daniel Smith leads the scoring charts with an impressive seven goals in just two games. As the league heats up, all eyes will be on these sides to see if they can maintain their electric form heading into week three.
