The highly anticipated Chippenham Monday 6 a side football league concluded last night after an intense 14-week tournament. The climactic end to the season saw some unprecedented results in both the Premier League and Division 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, HP FC and Kingfisher FC clashed in a nail-biting match, with HP FC ultimately securing a slim 1-0 victory. However, the spotlight was on Breast Rummage Albion who, in a remarkable display of tenacity, thrashed Birds Marsh Rangers with an astounding 8-2 scoreline. The star of the evening, Jamie Bill, led Breast Rummage Albion to their victory, scoring a season high of three goals, ensuring his team's ascension to the top of the league.
Breast Rummage Albion emerged as the champions of the Premier League, having accumulated an impressive total of 24 points, with 11 wins under their belt.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Weah Gueye outclassed Six Offenders in a 3-1 victory, with George Strevens scoring two crucial goals, making him the top scorer of the division. Peroulis FC also emerged victorious against Diamond Dogs with a 4-1 scoreline in a match that showcased their domination in the league.
Weah Gueye's consistent performance throughout the season was rewarded as they were crowned the winners of Division 1, having accumulated an outstanding total of 25 points and a record 12 wins.
