A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Over 35s League. We welcome two new teams on the night as 'Boca 3' and 'Misfits FC' both started there campaigns with good performances. We wish both teams the best of luck for the season ahead!

The league is contacting all team captains to make them aware that the league has moved to a ten-team league for the season ahead in order to allow the league to thrive during the winter so the fixtures have been adjusted so this season can thrive up until Christmas.

Game of the night was the 9-goal thriller to start the new season as 'Barely Athletic' scored late to take a 5-4 win over 'Surreal Madrid'. 4-0 up at half time 'Barely Athletic were clear and comfortable but a brilliant comeback from 'Surreal Madrid' in the second half meant the game went into the final minutes level, but it was 'Barely Athletic' who found the winning goal. The perfect start to the 9 game season ahead, who will come out on top come the end of the season?

The team of the week is given to 'Boca 20' as they beat their opponents 7-2 with a sensational team performance to put them top after week one of the season! This is a great start, and they will be looking to continue the good start against 'Barely Athletic' next week.
