6-A-SIDE FOOOTBALL IS BACK IN BRIERLEY HILL!

It's great to be back in the Brierley Hill Monday League following our first games back at the temporary venue of the Dell Stadium. It was however very disappointing that 'Is This The Way To Hammer Villa?' were unable to fulfil their fixture and with no contact from the team the league will be getting in contact to confirm there return next week. Another team that weren't there this week were '6 Berks And A Turk' who gave to required 7 days notice to miss the fixture. It is paramount that all teams are present for each and every fixture and if not try their hardest to contact the area manager in a sufficient amount of time in order for the league to run smoothly and effectively each week.

In more positive news we welcomed two Tuesday League teams '50 Shades Of O'Shea' and 'Is It Half Time Yet?' who managed to show off there skills against 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' and 'Crep City FC' respectively. The league would like to thank them for taking part and hope they enjoyed there guest appearance at the league.

We also welcomed new team 'MullerRuis' who put in a good showing against 'Man Chest Hair United' in there first game. The 1-1 draw should put them in good stead as they go on to face 'Borussia Teeth' I there second game. Good luck to the team moving forward.

Also a massive thank to all teams for there patience on the night as well as the new COVID procedures were followed perfectly with no problems through the night. All teams also managed to pay online, didn't enter the pitch until there game was due to start and respected social distancing throughout. In future weeks if teams can try to pay the match fee online by the latest of 6pm on a Monday night then this should allow for the league to be ran as quickly and as efficiently as you would like it to be. Thank you all in advance!

Game of the night in the Premier Division goes to clash between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Borussia Teeth'. A fiery contest that could have gone either way saw a lot of good play throughout and really could have ended with either team winning but ended in a 2-2 draw. As the season progresses it will be interesting to see how both teams fair with both having clear ambitions of fighting for the title when the season comes to an end.

The Division 1 game of the night goes to the game between 'Nitty Commitee FC' and 'Real Madras'. A high paced game that allowed both teams to show off there skills throughout. 'Real Madras' will be kicking themselves as they had plenty of opportunities to at least this one but it was 'Nitty Committee FC' who came out as 2-1 winners. In a division that is always close it will be interesting to see who comes out as title challengers as the season progresses.

Team of the week are 'That Peter Crouch Team', with the honour of kicking off the league restart against 'West Midlands United FC' they were able stay undefeated to start the season and go top because of it. Is this a sign of what's to come? And are the two time winners the team to beat again as we head into week four of the season.
