BRILLIANT NIGHT OF 6-A-SIDE IN STOURBRIDGE!
A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for.
Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'Neville' and 'Chip Butty FC'. Two very similar and strong sides going head to head but it was 'Chip Butty FC' who came out 2-1 winners and kept there second place in the league in the process. Three wins in a row now for 'Chip Butty FC', can they keep up this good form when they look for revenge on 'Inter Mi'Bathams' next.
First game of the night between 'Nitty Commitee FC' and 'BBF United' was the game to watch in Division One. Although heated at times it was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, league leaders 'Nitty Committee FC' came out on top in the end 3-1. Can anyone stop them in the second half of the season as they march towards a spot in the Premier Division?
The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Cott Lane Colts' and 'Call The Cops FC'. Two similarly able teams that served up a cracker, seven goals and end to end action but it was 'Cott Lane Colts' that were able to show that they are settling in nicely into the league with their third win in a row. Climbing the table they now find themselves 5th and looking up as we head into the second half of the season.
Division Three game of the night has to be the game between 'Wall Heath FC' and 'Schoolboy Error'. A 10 goal game that saw 'Wall Heath FC' come from behind and take home the 6-4 win. With this win they remain the only unbeaten team in the Division and are looking very good three games into the season.
'Wall Heath FC' are also our team of the week. They have settled in very nicely to life in the league and this shows with the unbeaten record they have. There next game sees a top of the table clash between them and 'Oaks Ay We', who will be top after the two teams clash on matchday 4.
A quick reminder that the centre is closed Monday 31st May 2021 due to it being bank holiday Monday and will resume Monday 7th June 2021, see you all then!
