FIVE GAMES INTO THE SEASON AS HALFWAY NEARS!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League.

Unfortunately we did have one team unable to fulfil their fixture as 'Crep City FC' were not able to get a team together. They have already confirmed there return for the next round of fixtures. It is paramount all teams are trying there best to fulfil there fixture each and every week and if this is not possible are communicating with the Area Manager as curtesy to there opponents.

In more positive news, Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Stella FC'. Two very similar and strong sides going head to head but it was 'Inter Mi'Bathams' who came out 2-1 winners and got back to winning ways. With this win they are back up to level on points with second in the league and with plenty of time left in the season they will be looking to chase the leaders down.

Division One game of the night was between 'Brenton' and 'Gary Neville Is A Legend'. It was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, both teams wanted the win but it was a late penalty that won it for 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' 3-2. In a very competitive league 4 points splits 1st to 6th so its anyones game as the halfway point draws near.

The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Waggon Wanderers' and 'Bayern Neverlosen'. Two similarly able teams that served up a cracker, four goals and end to end action but it was 'Waggon Wanderers' who were able to come away with there first win of the season 3-1. As the season progresses and they settle in more and more it will be interesting to see if they can climb the league and push for one of the top spots.

Division Three game of the night has to be the game between 'Lengman Ridahs' and 'Umps XI'. Two teams that went head to head and all out for the win but it was 'Lengman Ridahs' who came out on top 3-2. They are now unbeaten in there last three games and slowly climbing the table and with plenty of time to climb further  are they becoming a team to watch out for?

'Call The Cops FC' are our team of the week. One of only two teams to still have a five out of five record for the season so far after running out 4-0 winners against second placed 'Cott Lane Colts'. Can anybody stop them? Or are they going to be a Division One team come the end of the season.

A quick reminder that the centre is closed Monday 30th August 2021 due to it being bank holiday Monday and will resume Monday 6th September 2021, see you all then!
