NEW DIVISION THREE KICKS OFF WITH A BANG!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for. It was also great to welcome all new teams for the new division three 'Football Club FC', 'Schoolboy Error', 'Oaks Ay We' and 'Park Tavern FC'. They all put on very good showings for their first games of the season and we look forward to seeing how they all progress as the season moves forward. Good luck to all teams for the new season!

Unfortunately we did have a disciplinary issue in the game between 'Man Red FC' and 'Chip Butty FC'. Omari Longmore was sent from the field of play for 'Man Red FC' for some abusive language towards the referee which means he will be fined £20 and banned from the league for two weeks. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly. Apart from this incident in question 'Man Red FC' were also late for their fixture again this week which means they had been late for all there games this season. Having been warned the league has no choice but to remove the team from the league as this is unfair on the opponents that they have had so far this season and will have as the season progresses. This does mean a space opens up in the Premier Division but also means that the experience that the teams have in this league will not be compromised moving forward and gives the chance for the space to be filled by a team that is more reliable than 'Man Red FC' as I'm sure all teams will agree.

On more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game 'Neville' and league leaders 'Wolves Ay We'. 'Neville' were ahead at half time 1-0 but the league leaders were able to show why they were league leaders to come back and win 2-1 . Next week they are up against 2nd placed 'Inter Mi'Bathams' who will be looking for revenge when they faced off in the first game of the season and with them undefeated since then will be confident of causing the league leaders first dropped points of the season.

Division One game of the week was the first game of the night between 'Gary Nevile Is A Legend' and 'Big Stiff Idiots'. 3-0 up 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' were clear, out of site and comfortable but 'Big Stiff Idiots' fought back brilliantly to bring the game back to 3-2 but couldn't get the equaliser as time ran out on them. This result now means 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' are now 2 points clear in second but with so much more to play for can they stay there?

The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Bayern Neverlosen' and 'Expected Toulouse F.C.'. Two similarly able teams that served up a cracker but it was 'Bayern Neverlosen' who came out on top 2-1 and taking the bragging rights this time. 'Bayern Neverlosen' are now up to 4th and are only 2 points off the top two so will be looking to chase them down as the halfway point in the season draws near.

The game of the night in the BRAND NEW Division Three was the game between 'Football Club FC' and 'Wall Heath FC'. Despite losing two players through injury 'Football Club FC' fought on gallantly to go all out for the win but it was 'Wall Heath FC' who came out on top 2-1 winners. We wish both players that injured themselves a speedy recovery but is this 'Wall Heath FC' showing there intent for the Division Three title come the end of the season?

With another impressive 3-0 win this week team of the week are 'SYD FC'. They knocked 'Call The Cops FC' who were on a nice run of wins meaning they now sit behind 'SH Dons' in the league table in Division Two. Those two sides meet next week so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top and will sit top of the league after week six.
