SEASON COMES TO AN END IN BRIERLEY HILL!
It was a fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Brierley Hill on Monday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night and some entertaining matches played across the divisions to finish the campaign. It was also fantastic to welcome new teams 'Wolfpack' and 'Borussia Teeth' to the league and they both had very strong showings in there first games. Good luck to both teams as we go into the new season!
Unfortunately we did have one disciplinary issue in the game between 'Man Chest Hair United' and 'Borussia Teeth'. Pete Clifford from 'Man Chest Hair United' was sent from the field of play for being abusive towards the referee, he has been fined £10 and been given a two week ban because of this. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.
Congratulations to 'Crumptons Firm' and 'Pass It To The Left' who finished the season as winners of their divisions. And well done to 'That Peter Crouch Team' and 'West Midlands United F.C.' who finished as Runners-Up. There is also congratulations to Joahua Howells of 'That Peter Crouch Team' and Aydin Seker of '6 Berks And A Turk' who have walked away with the player of the season award in the Premier Division and Division One respectively.The winners of each league will be contacted over the coming days in order to decide what they would like there reward to be for there hard work this season. The above teams and players will have the opportunity to be entered into their respective prize draws, in the month of August on Facebook Live! Or receive trophies and medals at the league next week following their first game of the new season.
We will be in contact with all teams in the coming days to give them there first kick off times for the new season that starts Monday 9th March 2020.
