SEASON NEARS END IN THE BRIERLEY HILL MONDAY LEAGUE

Great to see some wonderful games played during the Brierley Hill Monday League this week. It was however very disappointing that 'Crumptons Firm' were unable to fulfil their fixture. The team have already contacted in order to confirm their attendance next week. It is paramount that all teams are present for each and every fixture and if not try their hardest to contact the area manager in a sufficient amount of time in order for the league to run smoothly and effectively each week.

We did also have one disciplinary issue in the game between '6 Berks And A Turk' and 'Baloteletubbies'. Nathan Cartwright from '6 Berks And A Turk' was sent from the field for dissent towards the referee, he has been fined £10 and been given a two week ban because of this. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

Game of the night in the Premier Division goes to the game between 'Nitty Commitee FC' and 'Inter Mi'Bathams'. An end to end game that had goals and chances throughout but it was experience that won the day as 'Inter Mi'Bathams' ran out 5-2 winners. With the new season drawing near it will be interesting to see how these two look when the new season gets underway, with a game like this they may be two teams to watch. Congratulations to 'That Peter Crouch Team' who have confirmed that they will be the seasons runners up in the Premier Division, well done!

The Division 1 game of the night goes to the game between 'West Midlands F.C.' and 'Pass It To The Left', a lot on the line as both were sitting in the promotion spots with two weeks to go and it was 'Pass It To The Left' who came out on top 3-1. They are now two clear of 3rd going into the last week and a win or draw makes them promoted and champions. As they face 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' if they lose it will be very interesting to see which two teams will be promoted as it could come down to a single goal. 'West Midlands United F.C.' have 'Crep City FC' and need a result to have any chance of being promoted. 3 other teams can still be promoted but need results to go there way to make it happen, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

'Is This The Way To Hammer Villa?' are our team of the week. The team only joined midway through the season but are settling in well and had a very good performance to come out 8-3 winners against 'Man Chest Hair United'. Where will they finish when they get to do a whole season at the league?
