STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 21ST NOVEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with some entertaining fixtures played throughout. We unfortunately had a few non-attendances on the night as three teams were not present for their fixtures, they have all confirmed there returns next week. We also had 'Darrel and his Barrels' give the required 7 days' notice to cancel a fixture so luck forward to having them back next week as well. It is paramount teams are present for their fixtures each week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each and every, if there are any issues doing this then be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of notice.

Unfortunately, we did also have an incident game between 'AFC Vexham' and 'PS Geezas' when a Brandon Greenhouse from 'AFC Vexham' was sent from the field of play for repeated bad fouls on opponents in the game, he has been fined £20 and banned from the league for the week because of this. It is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league.

The game of the evening in the Premier League was the game mentioned above 'AFC Vexham' vs 'PS Geezas'. Despite the incident above it was a competitive affair with 9 goals and lots of brilliant play throughout. It was 'PS Geezas' who came out on top 6-3 and in the process move three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, they go into a game with 'Darrel and his Barrels' next week looking to climb the table further during the second half of the season.

The game of the evening in Division One was the 4-2 win for 'This is Plough We Do It' against 'Bayern Neverlosen', meaning they remain on the same points as the top two teams but third on goal difference at the halfway stage of the season. Either team could have won the game but 'This is Plough We Do It' were the more clinical of the two teams in order to take the win. Next up is a top of the table clash with 'Call the Cops FC', who will come out on top?

In Division Two game of the evening was the very tight 1-0 victory for 'Cott Lane Colts' against 'Still Trying FC'. A fantastic defensive display from both teams meant it could have easily been 0-0 but 'Cott Lane Colts' were able to come away with the goal they needed to win the game. Up to second at the halfway stage they will be looking to continue this form into the second half of the season as they push for promotion to Division One.
