Stourbridge Monday 6 A-Side BREAKING NEWS 22ND NOVEMBER 2021
It was great to see that we had all teams attend showing the commitment they have to try to win every game they are involved in. We hope that this continues throughout the rest of the season as the winter rolls in.
In the Premier Division, we saw high flyers ‘Chip Butty FC' take on 4th Place 'Redz On Stedz' where the two teams battled to gain a victory over each other however neither team gave in. The final result was a 2-2 draw with two teams who could mount a serious challenge for the title. It'll be interesting to see how the two are doing the next time they meet.
In Division 1 the standout game was the first game as we saw 2nd place ‘Park Tavern FC’ beat 4th place ‘Football Club FC’ as the two teams went head to head in an exciting match that ended 3-1. ‘Park Tavern FC’ next face 2nd place ‘Bayern Neverlosen’. Division 1 is currently set up for an exciting season with only 2 points separating 1st to 4thplace.
Finally, the highlight of division 2’s evening was 'We Don't Give a Flying Duck FC' who played against 'West Midlands United F.C' in a game where both sides were full of attacking threat as 'West Midlands United F.C' came out 5-2 winners in an exciting Division 2 game where 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' would've wanted revenge for their previous loss. This result puts 'West Midlands United F.C' top of the league going into next weeks game against 2nd place 'This Is Plough We Do It', whose winning run will come to an end?
The overall team of the evening was ‘The Princess’ where they beat ‘Crep City FC’ 10-1. This team is now really starting to show how they could mount a heavy title charge in a league that has plenty of good quality opposition. We look forward to seeing if they can continue this in their next game against third-place competitors ‘Bridgnorth Town FC’.
