STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 28TH MARCH 2022

All the latest news from the Stourbridge 6-a-side league is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Another great evening of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side league.

Unfortunately we did have two non-attendances on the night as 'Crep City FC' and 'SteelYES! FC' were unable to fulfil their fixtures. Both will be contacted to confirm there return for this week. In it paramount that all teams are there each week in order for the league to run as efficiently as it can, if your team is struggling to field a team then please do not hesitate to contact your Area Manager for help.

In more positive news, it was great to welcome back 'SH Dons' as they were victorious on there return to the league. Well done and good luck to you moving forward in the league!

The Premier League was full of exciting games as the teams went head to head. The game of the evening in the Premier League came with a 3-1 win for 'Redz On Stedz' against 'S&K '. As 'Redz On Stedz' broke 'S&K's' winning streak and handed them their first loss of the season. Both teams played great team football pushing each other right to the limit with some great individual performances on the pitch also. We look forward to seeing how these teams continue for the rest of the season and how they fair when they face each other again.

In Division 1 we saw an extremely close game between 'Park Tavern FC' and  'BBF United' as the game went right down to the wire, resulting in a 3-2 victory for 'Park Tavern FC'. This was a game which was always expected to be close as the teams sit next to each other in the table, with the win taking 'Park Tavern FC' two points clear of their opposition. Both teams played exceptionally well and 'BBF United' will feel hard done by not gaining any points out of the game. Next up for the victors 'Park Tavern FC' is a tricky game against 'Roebuck FC' who also sit two points behind them.

In Division 2 we also had some entertaining games as 3rd place 'West Midlands United F.C.' took on the 4th placed opposition 'Beercelona' in an exciting clash between the two teams. It was 'West Midlands United F.C' who came out 2-0 winners over a good opposition thanks to goals from Stephan Tolly and Sam Tonks. Unfortunately 'Beercalona did not get on the scoresheet, however this was not down to their attacking ability but the quality of 'West Midlands United F.C.' defence. Overall an entertaining game of football. Next up for 3rd placed 'West Midlands United F.C' is a game against 'Pique Blinders', who will come out on top.

The team of the evening in this weeks league goes to 'Oaks Ay We' with a 3-1 win over 'Roebuck FC' to put them on 4 wins and 1 loss to start the season and up to 2nd place in Division One. Can they continue this fine form as we near the halfway stage in the season? Next is a top of the table clash against 'S&K FC'.

Although the league is currently full there is always space on our waiting list! GET IN CONTACT NOW to be a part of the best 6-a-side leagues in your area!
