STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 7TH NOVEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football saw all teams in attendance and some great games played throughout the evening.

The Premier League game of the night this was the game between last season's Division One rivals 'PS Geezas' and 'Roebuck FC'. Two evenly matched teams that always run each other close but it was 'PS Geezas' who were able to come out on top with the 3-2 win in the end. A split of a top three and bottom five have formed in this division but with still plenty to play for it will be interesting to see what the league looks like when the two teams meet again.

Division One had some excellent games throughout the evening but game of the night this week was superb as 'This is Plough We Do It' came out winners in against their Division Two rivals of last season 'Dynamo B.C.'. There 4-1 win shows they are a lot closer to their opponents this season then they were the last. Out of the top two on goal difference they have made a good start to the season and 5 points splitting 2nd to 8th it will be interesting to see how this Division plays out.

Division Two game of the night was the seven goal thriller between 'Hickory's Allstars' and 'Gylfi as Charged' to end the night. In a back-and-forth battle that could have gone either way it was 'Hickory's Allstars' who were able to come out on top 4-3 in the end. Having played each other a few times now it will be interesting to see if 'Gylfi as Charged' can get their own back later in the season.

The team of the week this week is 'Celta Allstars' as they came out with a 5-1 against 'BBF United', sitting second in the Premier League after losing the first game of the season in their title defence they have now won the next four of their first five games and are looking to chase down the league leaders. Next week will be a 2nd vs 3rd clash against 'Unprotected Cesc' who will come out on top?
