Stourbridge Monday 6 a side news 2023-09-18

Stourbridge Monday Football League saw its second week of pulsating action, with players battling it out across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance from Madeline Milan, We will be in contact to confirm their return next week. 

In the Premier League, AFC Vexham triumphed over VI Inches Combined with a score of 3 - 1 but the most captivating match was BBF United vs PSGeezas, ending 5 - 4 in United’s favour. Josh from PSGeezas emerged as the week's top scorer, netting three goals despite his team's loss. Unprotected Cesc also secured a solid 2 - 0 win against Stourbridge Olympic.

In Division 1, Bayern Neverlosen narrowly beat Inter Mi’Bathams 2 - 1, but the highlight was Piqué Blinders' Henry, who scored twice in a 2 - 2 draw against Cott Lane Colts. Baz Ball FC and Wheres Your Man FC both had convincing 5 - 0 victories against their respective opponents.

Division 2 saw a close game between Hickorys Allstars and Let The Game McGinn, with the Allstars scraping a 1 - 0 win. Hwang Onasec also secured a 3 - 1 victory over Talbot 6. However, the standout player was Charlie Greg of LABEL FC who scored twice.

In Division 3, all matches were keenly contested. Athletic Dildao and Genoa Side battled it out, ending with a narrow 1 - 0 victory for Genoa Side. The stars of this division were Waggon Wonderers' Olly Jones, scoring twice in their 2 - 1 victory over We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC, and Gylfi Pleasures who clinched a 1 - 0 win against Spignif Allstars.

The standout Team of the week, however, was Division 2's Slumdog Mingolet. Their performance was recognised across all divisions, making them the most valued team for the week.
