Play in the Stourbridge Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League continued in electrifying fashion last night, with week eight wrapping up amidst a flurry of goals and outstanding performances across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3.

The Premier League saw some closely contested matches, with AFC Vexham edging past Unprotected Cesc 2-1 in a nail-biting encounter where either side could have been victorious. BBF United triumphed over Stourbridge Olympic in a high-scoring match, ending the game at 6-4. Both teams displayed incredible attacking prowess in an end to end game that all neutrals were invested in. Haaland Globetrotters were dominant over VI Inches Combined with a 3-0 win over their division rivals. 

In Division 1, Bayern Neverlosen experienced a tough loss against Wheres Your Man FC, finishing the game at 1-3, Wheres Your Man FC where on top form again as they continue their unbeaten run with 8 games undefeated in the division. West Midlands United F.C. came out on top in an epic 12-goal thriller against Baz Ball FC, winning the match 8-4. Both teams were on top form trading blow after blow. Inter Mi Bathams and Pique Blinders also played out an 8 goal classic as both teams went head to head and counter after counter with the final score being a 4-4 draw!

Division 2 was equally thrilling. Hickorys Allstars squeezed past This Is Plough We Do It 2-1. In an a very tight contest both teams provided an impressive account of themselves. Slumdog Mingolet beat Hwang Onasec 3-0. Where Slumdog Mignolet were able to compose themselves in attack and defence to not allow Hway Onasec into the game.  Talbot 6 provided a composed performance beating their opponents Lable FC 2-0 and keeping a clean sheet comfortably. The highlight of the evening however was Big Stiff Chip Butty's 5-1 victory against Let The Game McGinn! A sensational attacking performance from Big Stiff Chip Butty was enough to put their opponents to bed. 

Lastly, in Division 3. Genoa Side overcame Spignif Allstars 3-2. Genoa Side have now extended their position at the top of the league to 4 points. Waggon Wonderers have provided an excellent footballing display as they beat Gylfi As Charged 2-0. Gylfi Pleasures also continue to chase down top of the league Genoa Side with a 2-1 win over Still Trying FC. 

The team of the week is given to West Midlands United FC as they provided a great account of themselves in an 8-4 victory. The victory may prove important when it comes to the end of the season.
