A thrilling Week 8 in Stourbridge Monday 6-A-Side Football League

Last night, the eight-week-long Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League saw some intense matches across its divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4, and Division 5. Unfortunately, we did however have an incident on the evening with Haaland Globetrotters as they showed poor discipline throughout the evening leading to a sin-bin, which then resulted in the player hitting the card out of the referee's hand therefore upgrading the decision to a red card. Following this after several poor challenges, another player was shown a sin-bin and proceeded to pick up the ball and kick it into a neighbouring pitch. 

In the Premier League, AFC Vexham delivered a stunning 7-0 victory over Haaland Globetrotters, while Unprotected Cesc achieved a decisive 7-3 win against Stourbridge Olympic. In the final game Celta Allstars managed to complete a composed 4-0 victory over their opponents to Wheres Your Man FC.


The Division 1 games were equally thrilling, with LABEL FC triumphing 4-0 over Big Stiff Chip Butty. Baz Ball FC overcame VI Inches Combined with a composed 2-0 victory. The final game of the division resulted in a 3-1 victory for BBF United over Bunting Mental in a match where both sides gave good accounts of themselves. 

In Division 2, Piqué Blinders defeated Notting Yourmumsforest with a 4-1 scoreline. Mirage United and Bayern Neverlosen played out an exciting 2-2 draw. De Jong Boys triumphed over West Midlands United F.C. in a match where nine goals were scored throughout.

Division 3 had some thrilling games starting off with an exceptional 2-2 draw between Reserve Squad V2 and Hwang Onasec. Scran City dominated their opposition Gylfi Pleasures in a thrilling match for spectators. Genoaside outperformed Paralympique Marseille as the final score ended 4-0. 

Division 4 displayed a set of mixed results similar to Division 3 kicked off with a 1-1 draw between Waggon Wonderers and Cott Lane Colts. Athletic Dildao were victorious in an undisputed 3-0 victory over Spignif Allstars. Finally, a game of fine margins was played out as This Is Plough We Do It beat Peter Larsen Kaffe 2-1.


Division 5 saw some exceptional performances too. Gylfi As Charged secured a 2-1 victory over Still Trying FC. Inter Mi'Bathams overcame Hickorys Allstars in a 4-0 win. The Unbelievable Lads also earned a 2-1 victory over struggling Danny G's Henchmen. 

De Jong Boys are the team of the week after their significant victory on the night, continuing their positive form to push for a title charge. Next week they face their fierce title contenders Mirage United...


With just two weeks left in the season, teams across all divisions are gearing up to secure their placements for the next season. The competition is intense, the stakes are high, and the excitement is palpable. Stay tuned for the upcoming clashes in the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League.
