Stourbridge Monday League Week 4: Big Wins, Top Scorers and an MVP
The fourth week of the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League came to a close last night, seeing teams from across divisions deliver exhilarating performances and some significant wins.
We did have one non-attendance as Genoa Side were not present for there fixture, we will be in contact with them in order for confirm there return on the 2nd. It is paramount all teams are present each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any issues please be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of time.
In more positive news, In the Premier League division, DY5 Bullets outperformed Boom Xhakalaka with a brilliant victory. The Galacticos also secured a 5-2 win over Celta Allstars in what could prove pivital to the title race come the end of the season.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Big Stiff Chip Butty blanked Yatesys VI with a 6-0 win, while Fries.Bag.Now beat VI Inches Combined 4-0. Scran City ran out 3-1 winners over Royals and Get Up FC were impressive in there 2-1 win over BBF United. Big Stiff Chip Butty and Fries.Bag.Now are the two teams out in front and unbeaten in this league so lets see if they can keep this up.
In Division 2, Lads On Toure demonstrated a dominant performance against Fill Her Wycombe, sealing a good victory. Bunting Mental ran out 4-1 winners over Past Our Prime and Baz Ball FC took a 2-1 winner over Hwang Bang. The last game of the night saw league leaders Bayern Neverlosen run out 7-3 winners against Athletic Dildao to put them a point clear after week four of the season.
The third division saw a close encounter with Unathletic Madrid losing 3-2 to Peter Larsen Kaffe. Piqué Blinders put up a spirited fight against Spignif Allstars but lost 6-4. Twinkle Toes ran out 1-0 winners over Boca and unbeaten Big Balls continued there impressive start to the season with a 3-1 win over Expected Toulouse FC.
Division 4 witnessed a high-scoring match with Bakers Barmy Army beating Team Pending. SPAFF It FC are top of the league as they were 3-1 winners over Pathetico Madrid but snapping at there heels are Rios Fridays FC as they were 2-1 winners over Danny Gs Henchmen. In the other game on the night the points were shared in a 1-1 draw between This Is Plough We Do It and Still Trying FC.
As week four comes to end we look forward to seeing which teams emerge out of the pack in the weeks to come.
The league is now OFF for Bank Holiday Monday this week and will return Monday 2nd June 2025. We wish all players, officials and there families a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend and see you all when we return.
