Play in the Stourbridge Monday football league powered by Leisure League
In a thrilling culmination to the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football league, teams from across six divisions clashed in the final week of the season, displaying dazzling skill and exceptional sportsmanship.
Unfortunately, we did have a number of non-attendances on the night, these teams were not present for their games and we will be in contact with both of them this week in order to confirm their return for next Monday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
Starting with the Premier League, Pork Loin FC reigned supreme with 28 points and 14 wins, a result of persistent effort throughout the season, they rounded off their invincible season with a tight 2-1 win over a tough to break down Celta Allstars. Other games saw, Chin N Tonic triumph over Wheres Your Man FC winning 4-3.
In Division 1, VI Inches Combined stood tall as champions with a total of 17 points and 8 wins, they finished their season with a 3-1 win over Euro Anchor FC. The other matches saw, Scran City beat Hwang Bang 2-1 and Kford Rent Boys beat Yatesys VI with a huge win.
Division 2 was dominated by Spignif Allstars, who clinched the division title with 22 points and 11 wins, although they did lose on the night to a brilliant Khedira Pin Drop who won 5-1. Athletic Dildao beat Bayern Neverlosen 3-1. In a thrilling game, Bunting Mental beat Perrywoods Past & Present 7-6. Finally, AFC Gornal beat Big Balls 5-2.
Surreal Madrid emerged victorious in Division 3 with 20 points and 10 wins, they also lost on the night succumbing to Lads On Toure who won 6-4. Past Our Prime beat Genoa Side 2-0 and Get Up FC turned over Unreal Madrid, winning convincingly.
In Division 4, Piqué Blinders emerged as champions with 23 points and 11 wins, they finished with a strong 4-1 win over Bakers Barmy Army. The game between ALAN FC and Danny Gs Henchmen finished 2-2. Similarly, Barely Athletic drew 2-2 with Ketamignolet aswell. Finally, Boca beat Expected Toulouse FC 3-2.
Lastly, in Division 5, Del Bosque FC triumphed with 27 points and 13 wins. The matches on the night were exciting as Cunning Stunts Unathletic drew 4-4 with SPAFF IT FC. Rios Friday FC had a big win over Team Pending. Finally, This Is Plough We Do It and Pathetico Madrid drew 0-0.
The Stourbridge Monday league showcased the competitive spirit and passion for football that exists in the community. As we close this season, we look forward to another round of exciting matches and memorable performances in the coming season.
