Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League Delivers Exciting Matches in Week 10

The Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League continued to showcase thrilling matches in its tenth week of the season. The league, consisting of four divisions, witnessed fierce competition, breathtaking goals, and outstanding performances from talented players.

Unfortunately we did have one attendance. We have been in contact with Stourbridge Olympic team captain and confirmed their return for the following week. It is vital that teams are there each week and get in contact with your area manager if you are unavailable to ensure the league runs smoothly each week.

In the highly contested Premier League, Celta Allstars faced a tough challenge against VI Inches Combined, who edged the game with an impressive 2-1 victory. Another notable match saw Unprotected Cesc securing a confident 2-0 win against De Jong Boys. Haaland Globetrotters and BBF United also displayed their skills, with the teams sharing the points at the final whistle ,3-3. 

In Division 1, The Unbelievable Lads faced a 6-0 defeat against Cott Lane Colts, while Bayern Neverlosen secured a solid 2-0 win over West Midlands United FC. There were also two stalemates in the division with Baz Ball FC and Pique Blinders fought it out and resulted in a 1-1 draw. Finally, a thrilling draw was played out between Wheres Your Man FC and Growler Out FC where goals flew in left, right and centre to result in a 4-4 draw.   

Division 2 witnessed an intense clash between Hickorys Allstars and Slumdog Mignolet, with the latter emerging victorious with a narrow 2-3 win. Big Stiff Chip Butty also had a successful outing, defeating Hwang Onasec 4-0. Lable FC showed an impressive attacking display, running their opponents Let The Game McGinn ragged in an 8-0 win. Talbot 6 and This Is Plough We Do It provided an impressive display of football where Talbot 6 gained a 3-1 win.  

 In Division 3, Waggon Wanderers  secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Athletic Dildao, while We Don't Give A Flying Duck triumphed with a 5-3 win against Still Trying FC. Gylfi Pleasures fell short to Genoaside in a 4-2 victory for the latter. Gylfi As Charged managed to scrape through against Spignif Allstars in a game that finished 4-3 .

In Division 4, A deadlock that could not be broken between Scran City and Paralympique Marseille where the game finished 0-0. A classic match was played out between Peter Larsen Kaffe and Reserve Squad V2 where the final result was 2-3 to Reserve Squad V2.

Team of the week this week was  We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC, as they beat their opponents 5-3 in an end to end game of football. Providing vital points for them as they bid to escape the relegation zone.
