STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 21ST MARCH 2022

All the latest news from the Stourbridge 6-a-side league is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Another great evening of 6-a-side football with all teams in attendance as expected.

The evening in the Premier League kicked off with excellent games of football displayed. The game of the evening was played between 'Redz On Stedz' and 'Football Club FC', this game was taken right to the end as the final score ended 4-3 with Dan Payne scoring an important brace for 'Football Club FC' as they eventually ran out winners and therefore climb up the table in the process. 'Redz On Stedz' will feel unlucky not to get anything out of the game as they put in a good performance. Hopefully, they can get the win next week. Whatever happens we look forward to seeing how this game goes when they meet again later in the season.

In Division One there were also plenty of entertaining games, however, the game between 'BBF United' and Dynamo B.C.' was the pick of the bunch with both teams displaying end-to-end football and scored goal after goal. It was a brace from Jess Smith from 'BBF United' which secured the win after a game where nobody could have predicted the winner.  'Dynamo B.C.' put in an inspiring performance against the second-placed team and are sure to pick up points as the season goes on.

In Division Two there was another end-to-end game of football in which 'SteelYes! FC' came out as winners against 'West Midlands United F.C.' as the final score was 5-4. 'SteelYes! FC' adds another victory to their tally as they begin to look at the promotion places. It was yet again Alex Sharp who scored the majority of their goals getting 4 goals on the scoresheet and therefore climbing to second on the top goalscorer list in the process. In a tight Division Two it will be interesting to see which two teams will be playing Division One football next season.

Finally, the team of the week is given to 'Dynamo Greyhound P.F.C ' as they put in a very good display against their nearest competitors 'Beercelona'. Their 3-1 win saw them go two points clear at the top and remain unbeaten for the season so far and it  was Jake Tromans scored the all-important goals for the team. Can they keep this going against 'Pique Blinders' next week?
