ONE GAME TO GO AS ANOTHER LOCKDOWN HITS!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League. The only absentees were '6 Berks And Turk' as the team were self isolating due to COVID-19, they have confirmed there return when the lockdown has ended.

Unfortunately we did have one disciplinary issue in the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' vs 'BBF United'. One of the players from 'Inter Mi'Bathams' was sent off for a punch thrown towards an opposition player, this kind of behaviour is not tolerated at the league and therefore the player in question has been fined £50 and been given a permanent ban from the league. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly, any case in future that involves punches being thrown will be dealt with the same punishment each time.

On more positive news, we welcomed three new teams to the league as 'Wolves Ay We', 'Big Stiff Idiots' and 'Expected Toulouse F.C' all played there first games. They will be with us again for the final games of the season to play in the brand new 9pm games and we wish them all the best moving forward in the league.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Borussia Teeth' VS 'Neville'. A fantastic game that showed both are good teams and looking to finish the season on a high as it finished in a brilliant 4-4 draw. With this result 'Borussia Teeth' will need a win, a 'That Peter Crouch Team' loss and a massive goal swing to take the title, stranger things have happened but they will be up for there final game against 'West Midlands United F.C.'

The game of the night in Division One was between 'Delph And Safety' and 'Crep City FC'. A 2-2 draw the result as 'Delph And Safety' look to build on the promising start going into the new season as they run this seasons Division One champions close as they look ahead to next season. As a side note the race for the second promotion spot will go to the wire as 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' and 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' are tied on the same points going into the last games.

Team of the week for this week is 'Nitty Commitee FC'. An impressive 4-0 win on the night showed there intentions going into the new season. Can they push themselves further up the table for the new season?

Unfortunately the league is now off for four weeks due to the national lockdown that the government approved today. The final fixtures of the season have been moved back until Monday 7th December 2020. The league will be contact with all team captains in the coming days to ensure you have received this message.
