STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 14TH AUGUST 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Sunday League with all teams in attendance as expected. 

It was also great to officially welcome new team 'Cartwrights U13's' to the league as they came out winners in a very competitive first game. We wish them all the best moving forward in the league.

Game of the week this week was between 'Real SoSoBad' and 'Sexy Football' these teams fought blow after blow to try and get the win. It was 'Real SoSoBad who came out winners with a 5-4 win over their opposition in a game where spectators nor players could see who were going to be the winners. It was a team performance which outweighed the oppositions stand out player Sam Tye. The winners also had a stand out performer in James Thompson who scored a hattrick in the exciting game. We look forward to seeing this two face off again in the new season that is fast approaching.

The team of the evening for this week was 'I Like That' as they heavily dominated their opposition in an incredible attacking display which saw them beat 'AFC Audnam'. It was Kian Lord who was the standout player for 'I Like That' as he scored 5 goals to secure the win. The newly crowned champions of the Stourbridge Sunday League are looking to finish their very successful season on a high next week in the final games of the season, good luck!
