All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

It was great to get the season off with a bang with all teams in attendance as expected.

The game of the evening saw 'I Like That' beat 'Phoenix FC' in an exciting encounter that saw a 4-3 and exciting win to kick off the season. Both teams played very well throughout and it was 'I Like That' that were the standout performers with their clinical finishing in a close game. With how close this contest was it will be interesting to see who will come out on top when the two teams meet again later in the season.

The team of the week in the opener of the season is given to 'Don’t Tell Stella' as they start the season in style with a victory over 'Pique Blinders'. Can the team be contenders for the season ahead?

The league is now off for this next Bank Holiday Sunday (Sunday 30th April 2023) but will resume for the Bank Holiday Sunday the week after (Sunday 7th May 2023) as the centre is closed this week but open the week after. We would like to wish everyone involved with the league a great bank holiday weekend and see you all on the 7th.
