ONE TO GO IN THE STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY LEAGUE!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League at Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Premier League-

The evening kicked off in the Stourbridge Tuesday league with a thriller of a game between ‘Is It Half Time Yet?’ and ‘Real Madras’ where ‘Real Madras’ just missed out on points as the final score ended 4-3 to second placed ‘Is It Half Time Yet?’ this is a game which either team could’ve taken the victory and that is why it is our PREMIER LEAGUE GAME OF THE WEEK. The second game was more convincing as ‘Haven’t Got A Kalou’ beat bottom place ‘Goals Aloud’ 6-0. This was with a standout performance from Sam Morgan with a hattrick. ‘HAVEN’T GOT A KALOU’ ARE ALSO TEAM OF THE WEEK. The third game was also split by just one goal separating the two sides with ‘Gangsters Allardyce’ beating ‘Gylfi Pleasures’ 2-1 in a game where misfortune and a standout goalkeeping performance meant 'Gangstars Allardyce' came away with the points. The final game of the night ended in a 3-3 stalemate between ‘Stourbridge CC’ and ’50 Shades of O’Shea’ which was a thriller and meant the battle for second goes to the final game of the season. 'Stourbridge CC' have to beat 'Is It Half Time Yet?' by two goals to snatch second place off them, good luck in this game and all Premier League games for the final games of the season.

Division 1-

Division 1 kicked off with a 5-0 victory for ‘Winlot Rangers’ which keeps them in with a shout of promotion. The next game which involved  ‘BH Darlings’ saw them beat ‘See You Next Tuesday’ 3-1 to put pressure on top of the league ‘Troey's Rentboys’ and mean that the promotion of 'BH Darlings' is in there own hands next week. The third game of the evening which was GAME OF THE EVENING IN DIVISION 1 BETWEEN ‘FC CELTA’ AND ‘S SIDE BBY’ resulted in a 4-3 win for the latter in a free-flowing game where each team pushed each other to the end and great performances from both sides. 'FC Celta' still have a slim chance of promotion but will need results to go there way next week. The final game of the evening ended in a convincing victory for ‘Troey's Rentboys’ as they retain their top of the league and need to not lose next week to take title. Congratulations though as they have confirmed there promotion to the Premier League for next season.
