STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 17TH MAY 2022

The latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

It was also brilliant to welcome new teams 'Twinkle Toes' and 'Stourbridge Olympic' to the league as both put in good showings for there first week. Good luck to both teams moving forward!

This week we kicked off the new season with plenty of unmissable games. The game of the evening in the Premier League saw an end-to-end thrilling 2-2 draw between 'Twinkle Toes' and 'Rare FC'. This thrilling game saw newcomers 'Twinkle Toes' and last season's champions 'Rare FC' therefore would be a big challenge however they dealt with everything that the reigning champions had to throw at them. Both teams' performances were excellent and there could be a potential for these two teams to be in a challenge for the title. 

In Division 1 the teams also went head to head with each other and the game of the evening was also a deadlock in a 1-1 fashion where 'OTR FC' took on 'Haven't Got A Kalou' in an exciting first game of the season which neither wanted to lose. Neither of the teams was willing to give in either however nobody could break the 1-1 score. Are these the two teams to watch this season?

The team of the evening is given to 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' as they recorded an outstanding victory against 'I Only Put Matip In' where they hit the ground running to start the season. Going top in the first week puts the points on the board early but will they sustain it for the long season ahead?
