STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 2ND AUGUST 2022

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'Rare FC' and 'Troeys Rentboys' as 'Rare FC' continued their bid to confirm there place in 2nd for the season. This was shown in their performance as they kept themselves composed to beat a component performance from their opponents 'Troeys Rentboys' who will feel unlucky not to get any points from the game. With this result 'Rare FC' have confirmed a second place finish for this season so congratulations to them. Congratulations 'to '50 Shades Of O'Shea' also, who have confirmed themselves as champions as they get back there title that they lost last season, they will now be looking to finish without dropping a point with two games to go.

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye was 'Gangsters Allardyce's win against 'Haven't Got A Kalou'. Despite the score line both teams played extremely well and 'Haven't Got A Kalou' had great spells in the game. 'Gangsters Allardyce' however were too good on their day resulting in their victory and takes them one point away from promotion and two points clear in the race for the title. Can they do it with the new season fast approaching?

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 4-2 win for 'Yatesys VI' over 'Quatford Windows' where an incredible display from Louis Thomas was a game changer. Despite the 2 goal difference both teams put out a great showing for themselves as they now also sit on the same points in the division. As both teams get ready for the NEW SEASON they will look to finish on a high in the final two games in order to start on the front foot for the new one.

The team of the week, for their performance above, is given to 'Rare FC' as they provided a controlled display to show there title winning form of last season. With second place now confirmed for this season they will be looking to get there title back next season.
