Another Exciting evening in the Stourbridge Tuesday League
Stourbridge Tuesday League-
We welcomed back the Stourbridge Tuesday League teams with a night packed full of entertainment and goal-scoring. We had some action-packed games which was a joy to watch.
Premier Division-
The Premier division began with a 1-1 draw between ‘Goals Aloud’ and ‘Gylfi Pleasures’ where goals from ‘Rob’ of ‘Goals Aloud’ and ‘Jake Mounfield’ from ‘Gylfi Pleasures’ could not separate the teams. The second game on the Premier Division pitch resulted in a big win 7-0 for ’50 Shades of O’Shea’ which included hattricks for ‘Ashley Lovell’ and ‘Mark Bellingham’ against ‘Gangsters Allardyce’, with this win it also meant they were team of the evening also. The third game was extremely close with ‘Is It Half Time Yet?’ edging a 1-0 win over ‘Stourbridge CC’ which could have gone either way. The final game was a 3-3 thrilling draw between ‘Real Madras’ and ‘Haven’t Got A Kalou’ with two vital goals from ‘Real Madras’ ‘Billy Shaw’ this resulted in being game of the evening. This ended an eventful evening on the Premier Division pitch with lots of good football played throughout.
Division One-
The Division One games began with a win for ‘BH Darlings in an exciting match in which ‘Farren Brown’ was MVP with two goals. The second game was very closely contested between ‘FC Celta’ and ‘Troey’s Rentboys’ this game was an exciting encounter where two teams fought tooth and nail for the win however it was ‘Troey’s Rentboys’ who gained the creditable win and ‘Kenny Preece’ who gained the MVP. The third game in division 1 was played between ‘Who Ate All Depays’ and ‘Stourbridge Olympic’ where ‘Stourbridge Olympic’ just edged the game with goals from MVP ‘Dom Cartwright’ to win the game. The final game finished in a 0-0 stalemate between ‘Winlot Rangers’ and ‘See You Next Tuesday’ in a game where chances were plenty but defence from both sides were also good.
