ENTERTAINING EVENING IN THE STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY LEAGUE
Stourbridge Tuesday League-
We welcomed back the Stourbridge Tuesday League teams with a night packed full of entertainment and goal-scoring. We had some fantastic games which was a joy to watch.
Premier Division-
We began the Evening in the Premier Division with a highly competitive 8-3 win for ‘Gangsters Allardyce’ over 3rd place ‘Stourbridge CC’ with a fine clinical display by the winners. In the second game we saw an ‘Is It Half Time Yet?’ win over ‘Haven’t Got A Kalou’ in a 5-1 fashion which pushes them up to 2nd in the division snapping at ’50 Shades Of O’Shea’s’ heals. This game also included an MVP performance from James Thompson with 4 goals. The third game in the premier division was another top performance from ’50 Shades Of O’Shea’ over ‘Goals Aloud’ with the final score being 8-3, including 4 goals and an MVP for Danny Campbell. The final game on the Premier Division was a 5-0 win for ‘Gylfi Pleasures’ which pushes them out of the relegation zone.
Division One-
Division One had a great set of fixtures which showed off the talent in the league. The first game which was also game of the evening came between ‘FC Celta’ and ‘Who Ate All Depays’ with a thrilling 4-3 win for ‘FC Celta’ with their opposition unlucky to come away with nothing as Shane Hollis’ 4 goals and MVP performance denied them. With the win it also means 'FC Celta' are our TEAM OF THE WEEK also. The second game saw A 3-1 win for ‘See You Next Tuesday’ over ‘Stourbridge Olympic’ where a solid team performance gave them the deserved win. The third game was a tough battle which resulted in a 0-0 draw between ‘BH Darlings’ and ‘Troey’s Rentboys’, keeping both teams within a point of each other at the top of the league. The final game finished with a 5-0 win for ‘Winlot Rangers’ which sees them sit midtable as we head further into the second half of the season.
