OFF AND RUNNING IN THE STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY LEAGUE!

A fantastic return to 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'Bronx FC' failed to turn up for their fixture and failed to notify the Area Manager of this situation. As it is the first game after a three month wait and there is a lot of interest in the league the league have decided to remove the team from the league with immediate effect to allow another team to take there space. It is imperative that all teams try their best to complete there fixture each and every week and if they can't to contact the Area Manager to allow the league to run as smoothly as possible.

In more positive news it was also great to welcome all new teams 'Dyslecsia Untied', 'Boom Xhaka Laca', 'Cheilini Con Carne' and 'Wollaston'. They all put on very good showings for their first games of the season and we look forward to seeing how they all progress as the season moves forward. Good luck to all teams for the new season!

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Is It Half Time Yet?' and 'Rangers'. A very tight affair that saw two evenly match teams playing out a very close game and saw some wonderful goalkeeping throughout to keep the score down, it was 'Is It Half Time Yet?' that edged it and got revenge for there loss in the last game of last season. 'Rangers' will be looking for revenge when the teams meet again later in the season so we will see how this pans out.

Two new teams 'Dyslecsia Untied' and 'Boom Xhaka Laca' played out the game of the night in Division One. Another very good game that could have gone either way but it was 'Dyslecsia Untied who came out 3-2 winners in the end. With the quality on show throughout this division it will be interesting to see who will be coming out on top and being promoted come the end of the season.

As they have picked up where they left off in previous seasons reigning champions '50 Shades Of O'Shea' are our team of the week. Another clinical display against a very good 'Stourbridge CC' team shows that lockdown has not affected there finishing ability. Next up 'Wollaston', can anybody stop them this season and take the title way from them?
