STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 11TH APRIL 2023
A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.
The game of the night in the Premier League this week goes to the game between 'Any Chance' and 'Gangster's Allardyce'. In a very competitive game where either team wouldn't give an inch, it was 'Any Chance' who were able to come away with the 3-2 win in the end. Next week they face 'Hold That FC' and as they sit one point off of the top two will be looking to get the win to get in the mix for the title.
In Division One the game of the night was between 'Swanky FC' and 'Lenton Orient B'. In a high energy and competitive game which was decided by a single goal, Lenton Orient B' took the result 3-2. In a very even league it will be interesting to see who will be the top two come the end of the season.
Division Two game of the week saw five goals and was a great watch as 'Andy Pandy FC' ran out 4-1 winners against 'Any Holes a Goal'. In what was a very entertaining game. It was 'Andy Pandy FC' who were able to come away with the win to sit second after week four of the season. A chance to close the gap on first place with a win against 'Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole' next week, who will come out on top?
Division Three had some thrilling games with a tense game between 'HAS Bins' and 'FC Resonance' where 'HAS Bins' ran out 2-1 winners which continues their run at the top of the division. 'FC Resonance' did not give up without a fight and left it tense for the league leaders right until the final whistle.
Team of the week this week is ‘Yatesy VI’ as they go top of DIvision One with a brilliant performance against ‘Baggies Babes’. Undefeated so far this season they are looking for promotion to the Premier Division this season and as the halfway stage is nearing can they keep this form going against ‘Swanky FC’ next week?
