A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League.
Unfortunately, we did have one non-attendance as 'Borussia Teeth' were not present for their fixture. We will be in contact with the team to confirm their return next week. It is paramount all teams are present at the league each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if you do have any issues, please be sure to contact your Area Manager ASAP.
In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between fast growing rivals 'Hold That FC' and 'Murder on Zidane's Floor'. A fantastically tense game that saw last season's Division One champions pushed to the limit by fellow promoted rivals. Although they came away with the 3-2 win in the end to go top of the league, they are in for some stiff competition this season and we look forward to seeing how it all pans out.
Game of the night in Division 1 was the game between 'Stourbridge Olympic' and 'Swanky FC'. A top-quality game that showed the quality on offer in Division One and saw a wonderful fighting performance by 'Stourbridge Olympic' to earn the 1-1 draw. With how tight this division looks it will be interesting to see how the season looks come the end of the season.
The Division 2 game of the night was between 'FC Resonance' and 'Lads on Toure'. A closely contested game that could not be separated as 6-goals were scored and the points shared in a 3-3 draw. Who will come out on top when the two teams meet again later in the season?
Top of the Premier League after week two following the game above are our team of the week 'Murder on Zidane's Floor'. A convincing win over a team that were confident after a win against a previous champion last week shows their intent for the season ahead. They go into a game against 'Gangster's Allardyce' next week full of confidence, who will come out on top?
