STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 15TH FEBRUARY 22

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League.

Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'Glyfi Pleasures' were unable to fulfil their fixture. This was the second game of there notice period so have therefore been removed from the league to allow a new team to take there space. It is paramount all teams are there each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any problems please ensure you contact the Area Manager in order to see if we can help.

The Premier Division returned with an action packed evening with teams playing flowing football to try and gain the victory. The game of the evening however was filled with excitement as we saw 'Rare FC' gain a creditable 3-2 win over 'Is It Half Time Yet' as the two teams went end to end with constant attack in a 5 goal thriller. 'Rare FC' came out winners thanks to Rio McFarlane's hat trick to continue their unbeaten start to the season, however a not so good start for 'Is It Half Time Yet' as they are still without a win. We hope both teams can carry on performing in these exciting games. 

Division 1 also proved exciting with plenty of goals being scored in these games as well. However, the game of the evening proved to be a hard fought 2-2 draw between 'Stourbridge CC' and 'Haven't Got A Kalou' where both teams bought their best performances to the table and neither could get the better of each other. The teams sit 2nd and 3rd in the table both on the same points. Both teams will be looking for bragging rights the next time they meet.

The second team of the week of the new season goes to 'Workplace Products FC' as they continued their excellent form to start the season. Their 8-0 victory over 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi' shows that this team could be candidates for promotion as the season continues. Paul Mainprice was the standout player in the match scoring an all important hat trick pushing the team on to the victory, hopefully he can continue this great form as the season progresses.
