STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 16TH MAY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

We also welcome new team ‘Genoa-cide’ to the league this week. They put in a very good first showing and will be looking to build on this in the weeks to come. Good luck moving forward in the league!

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'The Galacticos' and 'Murder On Zidane's Floor' as a tight affair saw five goals scored and the points going to 'Murder On Zidanes Floor' as they edged a 3-2 victory. In a league where anybody can beat anybody, it was a great game to watch. As we go into the final week of the season it is all very close and the title is still up for grabs. From 1st to 4th place there is only two points to separate the teams.

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye has to be the clash between 'Swanky FC' and 'Lenton Orient B'. The two very evenly matched teams have been terrific this season, but it was league leaders 'Lenton Orient B' who were able to come away with the win in the end. One game to  go to have the unbeaten season, can they do it?

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 4-1 win for 'Andy Pandy FC' over 'Any Holes a Goal'. A great game where both teams fought tooth and nail for the win and five were scored but the league's second place team 'Andy Pandy FC' came away with the victory. Can they get the one point needed for them to gain promotion for the season ahead?

The game of the evening in Division Three was the game between 'FC Resonance' and 'HAS Bins' where both teams played end to end football however, it was 'FC Resonance' who took a 3-2 victory in an incredibly tight game. With Sam and Tom Aston providing the winning goals putting them in fighting chance of cllimbing out of the bottom two with two games to play. 

Because of their result, the team of the week is given to 'Andy Pandy FC' as they were clinical in their game against 'Any Holes a Goal' to go one step closer to Division One. Can they get across the line?
